Blu-lite Electrical - our Standards and Practices
Contact
Blu-lite Electrical Services in Orpington, Kent, for all domestic and commercial electrical work.
Firstly
and most importantly Blu-lite Electrical are a PART P NICEIC Domestic Installer approved contractor.
Part
P is a building regulation introduced on 1st January 2006 to ensure that all domestic electrical work is tested and certified.
A relevant test certificate is then passed onto the client and the work is then registered with building control. Most types
of domestic electrical work fall under the Part P criteria.
Types
of work we undertake include:
Extensions to existing circuits, e.g. extra lighting and socket points.
New
circuits
Electrical work in bathrooms, kitchens or connected with heating and heating systems.
Any work outside
in garages, sheds and gardens.
Consumer Units - we now fit 17th Edition BS7671 Consumer Units. These units have TWO RCD
30mA units and circuits can be installed to avoid nuisance tripping, by mixing circuits like upstairs lighting with downstairs
sockets.
All of this type of work requires notification and approval by local building control.
The best way to achieve this approval is to use a Part P approved engineer.
Our work is supported
by a one year warranty on all electrical accessories installed and workmanship.
Business Customers
Businesses may benefit from a three year periodic testing and inspection
report when buying, selling, letting or relocating a property. We will identify non compliances of BS7671 and a one to four
recommendation will be outlined together with useful electrical and energy saving tips.
